Member of Ukrainian Parliament Valeriy Pysarenko supports the abolition of electronic declaration for participants of anti-corruption public organizations.
The corresponding Draft Law No. 8209-1, the authorship of People's Deputies, including Valeriy Pysarenko, was registered today in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the politician opinion, repealing the requirement of the law on the submission of electronic declarations by anti-corruption activists will be one of the most important stages in building an effective anti-corruption system in the country.
"The system of declaring assets in Ukraine is needed in order to ensure the responsibility of civil servants, and not to create unnecessary workload and pressure on civil society," - Valeriy Pysarenko said.
The MP believes that the Parliament should make a responsible decision as soon as possible and release activists and members of non-governmental organizations who are fighting for transparency in Ukraine from declaring incomes and property.
In addition, according to the politician words, the current requirements for electronic declaration do not meet the international obligations of Ukraine and the best international practices.
