Valeriy Pysarenko proposed taking as the basis his Draft Law on Anti-corruption Court

Member of Ukrainian Parliament Valeriy Pysarenko proposes to take as the basis Draft Law on Anti-corruption Court, designed by his team. With this proposal, he spoke at a meeting of the Conciliation Board of the leaders of the factions of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the Parliamentarian`s words, his Draft Law most closely corresponds to the recommendations of the Venice Commission.

"We understand that the challenge to this session is the issue of the creation of an Anti-Corruption Court." We introduced our Draft Law on the Anti-Corruption Court - No. 7440-1 and will insist it will be taking as the basis, because in our Draft Law all the experience and the entire amount of recommendations of both the Venice Commission and the IMF, as well as other financial donors of the country, who gave their proposals, were used "-  Valeriy Pysarenko said.

The politician said that in the issue of the creation of the Anti-Corruption Court it is high time to move from political discussion to practical legislative work.

"I think it's necessary to create such a court as soon as possible if this idea is supported in the parliament, but it should be understood that it is not enough to adopt a bill and create a court." The society should closely monitor which judges will be taken in this court. Court`s work will depend on selection of judges. We should monitor this process carefully in order not to create an institution that will only be a sound, "- the MP said
