Valeriy Pysarenko called on the Parliament to vote on the presidential Draft Law on the Anticorruption Court with amendments developed by his team.
He recalled that the deadline for amendments to the Draft Law on the Anticorruption Court of Ukraine expired last week.
"In order not to turn the second reading into a regular multi-series show of the in the Parliament, from which people are tired, we have already done a great job to accelerate the adoption of the Law. Our team analyzed and took into account all the comments of international partners, the advice of profile specialists and proposed 28 amendments to the presidential model of anti-corruption legal proceedings. In general, these are the very norms that were the basis of our Draft Law, and we will again insist on their adoption, and we will no longer allow the Parliament to imitate the fight against corruption and "lead people down the garden path", - Valeriy Pysarenko stressed.
Member of Ukrainian Parliament added that amendments to the parliamentary group are related, in particular, to the status of the Anti-corruption сourt in the Ukrainian judicial system, as well as the role of international experts in the process of selecting candidates for the position of judges of the Supreme Anticorruption Court.
"First, we propose the creation of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court, which is the highest specialized Court for administering justice as the first instance court in cases under investigation by NABU. Second, international experts must play a decisive role in the selection process for judges. We propose the introduction of four international experts along with members of the highest qualification commission to the selection committee of the judges, and it should be noted that the chairman of this commission will be elected from among international experts and will have the right to veto the decision of the competition commission. However, the veto can be overridden if the decision support no less than three-quarters of the members of the commission ", - the MP said.
As Valeriy Pysarenko noted, the third block of amendments concerns the definition of criteria for candidates for the post of Judge of the Supreme Anti-corruption Court.
Parliamentarian urged parliamentary colleagues to be responsible to voters and not delay the process of creation of the Anti-corruption court in Ukraine.
