Member of Ukrainian Parliament Valeriy Pysarenko asks to add 200 million UAH to already planned state budget of amount 390 million UAH for the treatment of citizens of Ukraine abroad.
According to the Parliamentarian words, increase of funding for a treatment program abroad can be made by means of reducing the cost of such budget programs:
- 1001010 "Administration and management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine" - by 70 million UAH;
- 1007010 "Administration and management of the National Police of Ukraine" – by 10 million UAH;
- 3507010 "Management in the field of fiscal policy" - by 60 million UAH;
- 0901000 "General Prosecutor Office" – by 60 million UA
Valeriy Pysarenko says "I am analyzing the expenses proposed by the Government in the draft budget, there is a tendency to increase funding for the " police " functions of the state, while spending on medicine is minimal."
"For example, the expenses for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for 2018 for the general fund are increased by almost 13 billion UAH compared to 2017. In particular, funding on the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are increased by 70 million UAH in concurrence with the fact that treatment of Ukrainian citizens abroad funding compared to the current year is not increased even by 1 UAH, "- the Parliamentarian explains.
Valeriy Pysarenko also notes that under this program seriously ill children are treated, including children with cancer, who cannot be provided with appropriate medical care in Ukraine.
"Patients have been standing in the line of the Ministry of Health for months, waiting for an agreement on financing medical treatment abroad (urgent organ transplantation, bone marrow), which has already been dubbed" the death queue, " because people die in this queue waiting for surgery," - the politician says.
