Member of Ukrainian Parliament Valeriy Pysarenko and 46 other People's Deputies submitted to the Constitutional Court an appeal to consider the legality of restricting the rights of pensioners, from among civil servants, to appropriate pensions and assess the constitutionality of the laws of Ukraine that canceled the recalculation of pensions.
According to words of the initiator of the appeal to the Constitutional Court Valeriy Pysarenko, for several years the Ministry of Social Policy has ignored the decisions of courts that recognize the right to recalculate pensions to former civil servants, appointed before June 1, 2015, according to the norms that were in force at the date of appointment.
"Unfortunately, the Verkhovna Rada is also late with a legislative settlement of this problem, and while pensioners who worked in state positions remain especially offended, their salaries are below the minimum wage," - the MP added.
Valeriy Pysarenko has great hope that the Court decision will be positive. After all, he said, by canceling the recalculation of pensions to civil servants, in order to save government funds and reduce the Pension Fund deficit, the Government violated Article 22 of the Constitution of Ukraine.
