“Kharkov scientists will become leaders in solving environmental problems in the near future”, - the Member of the Ukrainian Parliament Valeriy Pysarenko said during his meeting with the administration of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Environmental Problems in Kharkov.
Mr. Pysarenko noted positive results of the collaboration between the institute and the leading international organizations in solving global and local regional environmental problems, including collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Valeriy Pysarenko also stressed, that environmental protection, rational use of the natural resources and environmental safety – are the objectives, which Ukraine stated after having signed Paris Agreement on Climate.
"Implementation of Paris Agreement is a big challenge for Ukraine. Actions, aimed at climate protection should lead to speedup of economic growth, development of domestic innovative technologies, and reduce of dependency on import of energy resources and on constant changes of world market prices for energy resources. These actions should also lead to reduction of costs for heating and increase in the number of workplaces”, - Valeriy Pysarenko said.
