It will be banned to sell alcohol at retail outlets, situated in multi-storied buildings, if the residents of the corresponding buildings are against it.
After numerous complaints from Kharkov residents, Member of Ukrainian Parliament, Valeriy Pysarenko made such an initiative.
Now, according to the Draft Law, it is possible to open a cafe, restaurant or a store with alcohol and its auxiliary buildings in the multi-storied building only with the consent of its residents.
"In most cases, residents learn about the location of such public places in the house after the relevant authorities have given the permits and residents have to fight with such an undesirable neighborhood in Courts," - the Parliamentarian explains.
Valeriy Pysarenko is sure that the ban will also help to protect children and adolescents from access to alcohol in walking distance.
